If you are a regular on my blog you will have seen my blog post recently of my January Haul.
Now, I forgot one item to include in that bundle and that is this little polish. No More Waity, Katie by Butter London.

From the outside, this is a ridiculously cute purple toned grey with purple glitter.
There is quite a lot of glitter so when you remove the brush you don't feel the need to dunk it back in several times to try and get a decent amount on the brush. One of the most annoying things about some glitter polishes.

As you may already know, I am a little obsessive when it comes to how an item is packaged. Butter London are amazing for their packaging. The nail polish bottle feels amazing to hold. Ergonomically, it feels great. Can definitely tell this is a high end product just by how it feels. When you remove the lid, before you are given the chance to unscrew the cap you get this cute little bird with a crown on top of the actual lid. Butter London, for me, win nail polish bottle design hands down.
Now, a completely different story as far as this particular polish goes.
This is how the polish looks with one coat. I applies way too thinly for me. If a polish is going to apply this thin I would expect it to be more of a top coat polish. For me, this isn't a top coat at all. The polish makes my nails look such an odd colour. So let us try with two coats.
Not that much better. The polish seemed to clump and gather in weird places and just really applies unevenly. Given that I paid £12 for this over at John Lewis I expected a lot more from this polish. All my other Butter London polishes haven't failed to amaze me, so I feel severely let down by this one.
Do you own any Butter London polishes?

What a shame! I know you didn't buy it as a top coat but at least you could still use it as one. But I would be gutted too :( xx

I haven't tried it as a top coat yet, not overly sure what colour to use underneath. Might do a follow up up post on that.
DeleteI clicked on this post so ready to read it and go IVE WANTED THAT COLOR FOR SO LONG. What a let down. I wish they advertised if things were meant to be used as top coaters. I'm disappointed for you. Exchange it for a more opaque color! I only have Knackered, it's a little sheer, but in two coats it's opaque and looks so shimmery and gorgeous and duo chrome-y!
ReplyDeleteShame it was disappointing. I have thought about buying this one a few times from the way it looks in the bottle but now I think I will skip it:)
