My New Year and Nails

So I hope you had a fantastic New Years and got all dressed up! This year my boyfriend decided to have a quite one in as we had already had a pretty hectic Christmas so didn't real feel up to it. 

So here is my New Year wrapped up in a little collage I put together. 

I pretty much spent the whole evening (as well as the day actually) reading. I had decided that I have spent far too much time in front of a computer and had abandoned reading books and being a Teacher, that isn't great. So I am currently in the process of re-reading the Harry Potter books (how childish I hear you scream), The Hunger Games and some Design books (as that is the subject I teach!). My boyfriend spent it playing a game that I had bought him for Christmas, so he was pretty much happy with that. My cat, who has become ridiculously fat, spent it sleeping, so no real change there! 

Even though I didn't go out I did apply some simple make-up and do my nails, had to make sure I was putting at least some effort in given how lazy I was being!

I painted my nails in Diva of Geneva by OPI, which is one of my favourite nail varnishes. Then on one side of my thumb and my ring finger I used a coat of The Black Knight by Butter London, which is horrible to try and photograph but looks fantastic after a couple of coats or on top of another colour.
